This is one of the few state parks located on a Native American reservation, owned by the Klamath Tribe. The park is adjacent to the Winema National Forest and you can access the trails from the horse camp.
It looked like a horse group had done an endurance ride through the area as there were trail signs posted on some of the trees as we rode through the forest. The trails are easy, mostly old logging roads. A serious fire burnt most of the trees in the forest.
There are four well-constructed corrals at the horse camp and two campsites.
There is a single water faucet. No hook-ups. We had no phone reception unless we went to the campground office, but Elaine's Starlink worked OK. Closest decent-sized town is Klamath Falls, Oregon about 30 minutes away. There is an RV dump in the main campground. There is also a river where you can take kayaks.
